1. What duties is Proviande responsible for and what advantages do they provide for the individual organisations within the meat supply chain in Switzerland?

Proviande is the industry organisation of the Swiss meat industry in the form of a private consortium. It is the central organisation for all matters and questions around the Swiss fatstock and meat market as well as meat as a comestible good. It is the national competence centre for fatstock and meat. Its primary purpose is the promotion of a high-quality, competitive meat industry in Switzerland.
As the sole platform for anyone who participates in meat as a product in Switzerland, Proviande unites producers, cattle dealers, fatstock processors, meat and processed meat products, and retailers, importers and exporters under one roof.

2. What goals has Proviande set for itself regarding export marketing?

Under the registered umbrella brand "Swiss Meat", Proviande has created platforms to support the export activities of the Swiss meat industry with a variety of marketing and sales promotional measures. The intention is to continuously advance the sales of Swiss meat specialties abroad in the next several years through collaborative use of these platforms.

3. What export marketing activities is Proviande initiating and what do you expect to gain from your trade fair appearance at InterMeat?

The collective appearance at InterMeat along with Ernst Sutter AG, Micarna SA and Orior Deutschland GmbH/Spiess Europe Sari underscores the heightened commitment of the industry in the area of export business development. The trade fair offers an excellent platform for making new contacts and intensifying existing contacts with top national and international decision-makers from the trade. With this collective appearance, Proviande is supporting the Swiss meat businesses in this endeavour and generating additional attention for Swiss meat specialties. At the same time Proviande is positioning and distinguishing itself among international meat buyers and trade journalists in Switzerland's neighbouring countries. To this end the trade fair appearance will be accompanied by targeted media and PR activities in Germany.
