Brandenburg presents unique culinary meat specialties

05/09/2010

Dutch meat manufacturer Brandenburg Vlees en Vleeswaren B.V. offers a wide range of cooked and smoked cold meat to the European retailer and food service market as well as to wholesalers. At the upcoming InterMeat tradeshow in Düsseldorf, Germany, the company will be presenting its culinary specialties to an international audience. Fresh ingredients, flavour and modern packaging techniques ensure a long shelf life.

Brandenburg Vlees en Vleeswaren BV is fully equipped for the production and packaging of fresh cold meat as well as processing chicken, pork and beef into semi finished products. Our products include sausages, ham and pickled meat, but also culinary specialties such as ham hocks, pork tenderloin or rolled, seasoned and pre-packed meat.

Freshness and a fortnight shelf life
Commercial Manager Sander Stalenhoef: “Our culinary specialties offer added value to retailers. These products are made of fresh, high-quality ingredients only. They are flavoured with fresh spices, marinades and sauces. Due to the use of fresh materials and modern packaging techniques, we can guarantee a shelf life of fourteen days.” Brandenburg’s culinary meat products are already recognized and popular in the Dutch kitchen, for example at traditional holidays like Easter or Christmas. “At InterMeat, our objective is to make international retailers aware of the advantages of including our products in their category plan.”

Three steps to a tailor-made solution
Brandenburg works according to a selection process in three phases, the so-called 1-2-3 concept. The first step is choosing the type of product. The company co-operates with certified slaughterhouses to ensure maximum meat quality and safety. “After selecting the product type, the customer chooses the flavour. There are numerous possibilities. We constantly innovate on recipes in spices, marinades and sauces, but according to our customer’s needs we can also prepare a tailor-made flavour,” explains Stalenhoef. The final step is the choice of packaging, for example EasyPeel, which offers consumers a simple way to open the package of meat. “Regardless of weight, cut or method of packing: every product has been manufactured accurately according to the customer’s specifications.”

Internationally recognized
Both the production process at the production site of Brandenburg Vleeswaren BV and transport to the customer fully comply with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards. The company has also been awarded the internationally recognized BRC Global Standard certification.
