BBS Food presents innovative 1-2-3 concept at InterCool

Dutch manufacturer BBS Food B.V. offers frozen and chilled convenience chicken and pork products under private label for the international food service- and retail market. At the upcoming InterCool frozen food tradeshow in Duesseldorf, Germany, the company introduces its innovative
1-2-3 concept, which serves the purpose of transparency, variety and flexibility to its customers.
BBS Food’s two factories in Barneveld, the Netherlands, process fresh meat into fully cooked convenience products. The meat is marinated and cooked & grilled in a closed, fully automatic production process, after which it is frozen, weighed and packed.
Flexible solutions: ‘pick & choose’
BBS Food chose to highlight its innovative 1-2-3 concept at InterCool in Duesseldorf. The concept is an important added value to purchase departments in food service and food retail. Commercial Manager Mr. Mark Laponder elaborates: “Whether you demand large, medium or small quantities: our 1-2-3 Concept is specially designed to make purchasing easy. In short: it is ‘pick and choose’, according to your needs. In three basic steps you choose which meat (snit) you want: chicken or pork. Then you choose how you want it prepared and flavoured: for example mild, hot or spicy. Finally you decide how you want your products to be packed. We offer various types of packaging, depending on the customer’s requirements.”
Upcoming category
BBS Food offers transparency, in its products and in its proposition to its customers. Clear communication is part of the process. Managing director Jaap Brokking summarizes: “It is our objective to deliver an added value in the category plan and meet our customer’s expectations: prevent any product complaints, ensure availability and smooth logistics and supply an innovative product at a reasonable price. Reliability and transparency are the key. Tracking and tracing is a logical part of the process. What you see is what you get.” Brokking and Commercial Manager Mark Laponder envision many future challenges. “We foresee an upcoming category of appetizers, so called ‘any-timers’ in frozen foods. This finger food is a high quality, promising and upcoming convenience range in the frozen food category, suitable for any food moments during the day.”

BBS Food offers full service concepts and works according to the HACCP-directives and has internationally recognized certificates such as the International Food Standard and BRC Global Standard.
