Takeover Kraats Kaas in Hoogeveen

Kraats Vastgoed Hoogeveen BV has decided to sell all his activities, real estate and packaging activities to DOC Kaas and Vergeer Holland. The transaction will be registered by the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa). Subject to the NMa's approval, both parties expect the takeover to be implemented in the course of 2012.

Kraats Kaas specializes in the cutting and packaging of cheese, under its own label as well as under private label. The grated and sliced products are delivered in Europe to wholesale companies, industrial bakeries, caterers and retailers. Due to a considerable growth the last few years, the company moved in 2008 to a modern and efficiently equipped cheese-processing plant in Hoogeveen. At the moment, about 125 employees are working at Kraats Kaas www.kraatskaas.nl.

After the takeover, the company will continue operating in the market as Kraats Kaas. The takeover will have no consequences for the employment. DOC Kaas and Vergeer Holland expect that this cooperation is a good base for continuation and expansion of Kraats Kaas' position on the market.
